THE JUNCTION TRIANGLE TORONTO HISTORY

The Junction Triangle is a small Toronto community in a pocket of West-end Toronto that has been established since the mid 1800's. It is a neighbourhood located in West Toronto, Ontario, Canada, roughly in the area of Bloor Street West, Dupont Street, Lansdowne Avenue, and Dundas Street West. The "triangle" shape of the neighbourhood is formed by the three sets of railroad tracks on the north, west, and east sides.

In 2009, there was a contest to come up with a new name for the area - one that was hoped to better distinguish it from the Junction and perhaps reflect its historical ties to the railroad as well as the influx of new residents and businesses gradually gentrifying the area. Ubisoft has recently opened a large office on Wallace Avenue, proving that the Junction Triangle is a neighbourhood for the future. A neighbourhood within a neighbourhood the Junction Triangle offers many community events of its own such as the upcoming Annual Junction Triangle Art and Home Style Sale in November or other events throughout the summer at Campbell Park.

The West Toronto Railpath opened in 2009, as a multi-use asphalt trail for pedestrians and cyclists which runs from the Junction towards Dundas Street West and Lansdowne. It is a wonderful example of urban rails transformed to green space that will continue down to Liberty Village and the Lake Ontario waterfront.

THE JUNCTION TRIANGLE TORONTO REAL ESTATE

The Junction Triangle has been rejuvenated over the past 20 years to the point that it has become one of Toronto's hottest neighbourhoods recently. We have seen it become a hotbed in Toronto real estate especially for young families and the art community. A very unique neighbourhood compared to the rest of West Toronto The Junction Triangle has made itss mark with beautiful heritage homes, a trendy shopping strip and green space in abundance with it's proximity to High Park.

Easily accessible to TTC ( buses and subway) and highways the junction is a very short commute to the downtown core.
